About the Work

“Man has a propensity to act against, or oppose an idea, often only after he has been presented with it as being beneficial to his interests. This work (from the artist’s series entitled “Cages”) explores ideologies and human constructs of confinement be it mental, physical, real or imagined. Anonymous portraiture that examines various aspect of ‘restriction’, The barriers and limitations which we use (self-generated and imposed by societal bodies) to enchain ourselves and the freedom of others.”
