“Venus presents a reclining female figure emerging from a French grey ground built through dense palette-knife texture, where surface becomes both atmosphere and resistance. The body is reduced to essential curves, thighs, hips, breasts, while the neck and chin suggest a withheld presence, with only the lips completing the fragment of identity. Expressionistic lines in deep reds, pinks, oranges, and purples trace the figure with emotional urgency, while gold leaf accents punctuate the composition, introducing moments of quiet luminosity within the density of paint. The work distills sensuality into structure rather than narration, positioning the figure as both invocation and form.
