The title of this series is an attack on stale language in arts writings; the images, however, are serious explorations of dance abstracted which could be construed as a threshold between states and order progressing toward chaos.
Michael Pointer's artistic journey began at the tender age of nine, influenced by his father Ed Pointer's dual passion for painting and photography. His early exposure to the art world led to a distinctive voice that was recognized with a National Scholastic Art Awards exhibit in 1969. After serving in the United States Air Force, Pointer returned to his creative pursuits, culminating in a teaching position at Wichita State University and later work in Afghanistan, where he combined art and humanitarian efforts.
