Czech painter and decorative artist who became one of the defining figures of Art Nouveau. Famous for his distinctive posters featuring elegant women surrounded by ornamental flowers, arabesques, and Byzantine-inspired motifs, his style became so iconic that Art Nouveau was often simply called "le style Mucha" in Paris.
