From the series “All Faith Jug”. A sculpture featuring a jug form with a wire structure and a branch-like handle. The surface is treated with tracing paper and contains an internal scene, visible through an opening.
Dirk Larsen began his artistic journey in 1974 as part of the duo Reindeer Werk, moving into anti-conceptualist painting by 1980, a style later linked to the Low Brow movement. Over time, Larsen has developed a practice that mediates between conceptual and anti-conceptual frameworks, often incorporating found objects into his sculptures.
