Rubén Landini

b. 1995, Mexico

Rubén Landini Enríquez (b. 1995, Puebla, Mexico) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, poetry, performance, and musical composition. He studied Visual Arts at the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts (ISBA), Besançon, France, graduating with honors and receiving special jury recognition. He later pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) through an exchange program between ISBA and the University of Barcelona, Spain. Landini further developed his artistic career in Barcelona, where he studied and painted at Studio 46 Barcelona under Master Virgili Barbarà. He later relocated to New York City for his first solo exhibition in the city, Neo-Mexican Humanism, presented at the invitation of the Consulate of Mexico in New York. His work combines expressive brushstrokes and mixed-media techniques, producing a childlike visual language rich in texture and symbolism. Rooted in Neo- Mexican Humanism, his practice invites audiences to reconsider Mexico’s history, living traditions, and present tensions, while revealing a dialogue between spirituality and politics-two forces often perceived as opposites, yet deeply connected.
