This is a print from an original oil painting I made and shows "West Winds", an Ayrshire fishing boat, battling its way through a rough sea. The West Coast of Scotland, with its rugged coastline and dramatic landscapes, was once home to a thriving fishing industry but this has been sadly depleted over recent years.
William McLean Kerr, a Scottish artist and illustrator, established his Ayrshire studio in 1996. His work, which includes paintings, drawings, and fine art prints, has been exhibited widely across Scotland, including solo exhibitions at the Maclaurin Art Gallery in Ayr and the Annan Gallery in Glasgow. Kerr has also undertaken numerous private and corporate commissions, with pieces held in collections globally.
