“"Long Tall Dex" is a tribute to the legendary tenor saxophonist Dexter Gordon. Rather than creating a realistic portrait, I sought to capture the unmistakable feeling of his music, its warmth, elegance, rhythmic freedom, and the effortless confidence that defined his sound.”
