About the Work

“The Sirens (Panel II) presents a frontal fragment of the female form, cropped from just above the breasts to the lower torso, where anatomy becomes a field of color rather than representation. Rendered in warm orange tones, the figure emerges against a luminous yellow expressionist ground, intensifying the sense of radiance and immediacy. The frontal orientation establishes directness, while the cropping and chromatic saturation shift the body toward abstraction, suspending it between recognition and dissolution. Within The DANCE: Between Polarity, the work deepens the triptych’s investigation into allure and fragmentation, where the figure is held in a charged equilibrium between visibility and withholding, presence and reduction.”
