Not simply painted. Physically built. It's as if I lifted the stroke off the brush, held it in my hand, and set it directly onto the surface. Dimension, movement, and a sculptural presence that changes as the light moves across the day.
Jeffrey Terreson (b. 1955, Bedford, NY) attended the Columbus College of Art and Design on a full merit scholarship. Initially an illustrator, he shifted his focus entirely to painting, drawing inspiration from post-war contemporary artists, Eastern spirituality, and nature. His work, characterized by gestural layers of oil paint, is featured in over 150 private and corporate collections, including the United Nations and IBM.
